Police Blotter: Alcohol, Drug and Traffic Arrests

The Grayslake Police Department reports arrests from Dec. 8-22.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Kristopher A. Janssen, 21, of 606 Center St., Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 8 near Ashford Lane and Route 120. He was also cited for having a BAC of .08 or more, leaving the scene of an accident - vehicle damage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on $1,000 bond pending a Dec. 31 court date.

Scott A. Koth, 57, of 423 Preston Circle, Lindenhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 11 near Route 83 and Peterson Road. He was also cited for failure to reduce speed/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on $1,000 bond pending a Jan. 7 court date.

Dennis A. Smith, 66, of 912 Highgate Lane, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol Dec. 22 on the 900 block of East Route 120. He was released on his drivers license and $100 cash bond pending a Jan. 14 court date.

Drugs

Jonathon L. Olinger, 27, of 499 Old Surrey, Hinsdale, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or a combination of drugs Dec. 11 near Routes 45 and 120. He was also cited for not having a valid drivers license. He was released on $3,000 bond pending a Jan. 7 court date.

Traffic

Zachary I. Hotel, 26, of 816 Deep Woods Court, Grayslake, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license Dec. 12 near Center Street and Library Lane. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a Jan. 15 court date.

Carlos E. Nunez, 32, of 825 Grand Ave., Waukegan, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident - vehicle damage Dec. 18 near Routes 45 and 120. He was also cited for driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license and improper lane usage. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a Jan. 15 court date.
