Police Blotter: Alcohol, Traffic Arrests

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Jason M. Usher, 36, of 320 N. Ardmore Ave., Villa Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol May 19 on the 700 block of East Route 120. He was also cited for improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic control device. He was released on his drivers license and $1,000 bond pending a June 11 court date.

Christopher K. Birmingham, 31, of 95 Thomas Court, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol May 23 near Routes 120 and 83. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, DUI over .08, endangering the life of a child and registration canceled/suspended/revoked-reciprocal state. He was released on $3,000 bond pending a July 18 court date.

Criminal Damage to Property

Isaiah M. Guerrero, 24, of 1553 Bristol Ave., Westchester, was charged with criminal damage to property over $300 May 28 on the 300 block of Alta Drive. He was taken to bond court.

Drugs

Christopher K. Birmingham, 31, of 95 Thomas Court, Grayslake, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia May 24 on the 100 block of Thomas Court. He was released on a notice to appear in court June 19.

Samantha L. Staton, 27, of 95 Thomas Court, Grayslake, was charged with possession of cannabis - 30 grams or less - May 24 on the 100 block of Thomas Court. She was released on a notice to appear in court June 19.

Traffic

Jacob A. Sarkissian, 19, of 329 N. Highmoor Drive, Round Lake Park, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license May 24 near Fairlawn and Pineview Drives. He was also cited for criminal trespass to vehicle and resisting arrest of a peace officer. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a June 13 court date.

Neftali R. Lopez, 38, of 245 N. Harding Ave., Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license May 24 near Route 120 and Harris Drive. Lopez was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to wear a properly adjusted and fastened seat safety belt. Lopez was released on $2,000 bond pending a June 19 court date.

Mariano Barrera, 45, of 611 N. County Road, Waukegan, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license May 24 near Routes 45 and 120. He was also cited for improper lane usage and fail to reduce speed/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a June 19 court date.

Unlawful Visitation Interference

Jeffrey J. Smith, 34, of 23373 W. Liberty, Lake Villa, was charged with unlawful visitation interference May 23 on Seymour Avenue. He was released on a notice to appear in court June 10.
