Police Blotter: Battery, Traffic Arrests

The Grayslake Police Department reports arrests from May 19 to June 19. This is part three of those police blotter items.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Babak Faily, 43, of 1912 Sprucewood Lane, Lindenhurst, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol June 4 on the 1100 block of Washington Street. He was also cited for disorderly conduct and possession of cannabis (greater than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams). He was released on his drivers license and $100 bond pending a July 2 court date. 

Battery

Caleb D. Johnson, 18, of 306 White Tail Lane, Ingleside, was charged with battery-simple June 11 on Route 120 in Hainesville. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting/obstructing a peace officer. He was released on $1,200 bond pending a July 17 court date.

Criminal Damage to Property

Michael J. Ryan, 37, of 34655 Red Oak Lane, Grayslake, was charged with criminal damage to property under $300 June 8 on the 100 block of Center Street. He was also cited for disorderly conduct. He was released on $1,200 bond pending a June 25 court date.

Criminal Trespass to Property

Patricia E. Friello, 44, of 394 N. Patriot Drive, Hainesville, was charged with criminal trespass to property-remains after notice June 18 on the 400 block of North Patriot Drive in Hainesville. She was also cited for disorderly conduct. She was released on $1,200 bond pending a July 10 court date.

Drugs

Alejandro S. Rodriguez, 19, of 1204 Ashbrook Drive, Mundelein, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia June 19 near Center Street and Route 45. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was released on a notice to appear in court July 17. 

Leaving the Scene of an Accident

Janet M. Bergsma, 42, of 216 Broadway St., Libertyville, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident June 8 on the 800 block of Cherry Creek Drive. She was also cited for failure to give aid or information. She was released on $1,200 bond pending a July 17 court date.

Paula N. Wright, 48, of 10 N. Whitney St., Grayslake, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident-vehicle damage June 12 on the 200 block of Center Street. She was also cited for failure to give information after striking unattended vehicle/other property and failure to reduce speed/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on her drivers license pending a July 17 court date.

Traffic

Sam L. Johnson, 60, of 340 Neville Drive Unit 12, Grayslake, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license June 7 near Route 120 and Country Drive. He was released on $1,500 bond pending a July 17 court date.

Alexandrea R. Dezoma, 22, of 1330 Marlbourgh Court, Mundelein, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license June 11 near Routes 83 and 120. She was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was released on $2,000 bond pending a July 17 court date.
