Police Blotter: Drug, Warrant Arrests

The Grayslake Police Department reports arrests through Oct. 10.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Grayslake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

Alcohol

Amanda P. Sussman, 46, of 700 Crossland Drive, Grayslake, was charged with driving under the influence Oct. 3 near Commerce and Hoffner Drives. She was also cited for DUI over .08 and improper lane usage. She was released on her drivers license and $1,000 bond pending a Nov. 5 court date.

Drugs

Adam E. Hoth, 30, of 33945 Prospect Drive, Gages Lake, was charged with possession of a controlled substance Sept. 27 on the 1800 block of East Route 120. He was also cited for possession of a hypodermic needle, driving under the influence—combined influence of alcohol/drugs/compounds, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to bond court.

Failure to Report Accident

Travis R. Kauffman, 22, of 18213 Lindenwood Drive, Wildwood, was charged with failure to report accident to police authority Aug. 18 on the 1800 block of East Route 120. He was also cited for leaving the scene of an accident—vehicle damage and failure to give aid or information. He was released on a notice to appear. 

Theft

Ryan A. Marvin, 29, of 649 Swan Drive, Grayslake, was charged with theft under $500 Oct. 6 on the 1000 block of Peterson Road. He was released on $1,200 bond pending an Oct. 28 court date.

Traffic

Aaron M. Shindler, 21, of 18330 W. Lee Circle, Gurnee, was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked drivers license Oct. 10 near Lake and Washington Streets. He was also cited for registration suspended for no insurance, possession of cannabis—less than 2.5 grams and methamphetamine possession—less than 5 grams. He was taken to bond court.

Warrant

Darrold G. Scott, Jr., 25, of 514 Holiday Lane, Hainesville, was arrested Oct. 8 on an in-state warrant near Pineview and Fairlawn Drives. He was taken to the Lake County Jail.

Jamal N. Bajwa, 18, of 1049 Ellsworth Drive, Grayslake, was arrested Oct. 8 on an in-state warrant on Seymour Avenue. He was taken to the Lake County Jail.
