Police Blotter: Grayslake Man Arrested in Connection with Vehicle Burglary

This incident was among the official reports of the Libertyville Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that decision.

A Grayslake man was arrested on a warrant June 11 on charges relating to a motor vehicle burglary that occurred June 2 in Libertyville.

A resident on the 900 block of Quaker Hill Lane in Libertyville reported June 2 that her purse, sunglasses and cell phone were taken from her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. At the time, police said they were investigating video from surveillance cameras, along with unauthorized charges made on the stolen credit cards.

Following the investigation, Anton T. Herres, 21, of 33075 N. Eastview Ave., Grayslake, was charged with two counts of identity theft, a Class 3 felony, and one count of unlawful use of a credit card, a Class 4 felony. He was arrested at his home, processed by Libertyville Police and then transported to the Lake County Jail on $100,000 bond.
