Police: Kenosha Man Charged in Connection with Hainesville Crash, Fire

The crash and subsequent fire occurred early Friday morning.

A 32-year-old Kenosha, WI, man has been arrested in connection with a Friday morning crash that resulted in a fire at a Hainesville townhouse.

Adam R. Bileck was charged with two felony counts of driving under the influence and one misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of a crash, said Grayslake Police Chief Phil Perlini.

A bond hearing was set for Oct. 27.

Perlini said the Grayslake/Hainesville Police Department received a 911 hang-up call from the 400 block of North Patriot Drive in Hainesville at 4:09 a.m. Friday. Police responded to the area and found that a vehicle had crashed into the northwest side of a townhouse. The home was engulfed in flames, Perlini said.

"Police officers did not observe any occupants in the vehicle, and evacuated the townhouse and nearby residences," said Perlini. "Several area fire departments and utility companies responded and helped extinguish the fire."

Both Grayslake Police and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance team are investigating the cause of the crash.

A man later identified as Bileck was located near the scene of the crash several hours later and was treated for hypothermia symptoms at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Perlini said.
