Police Looking for Man Who Robbed Gurnee Bank

The robbery occurred at America Midwest Bank.

Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a bank in Gurnee Monday.

Lake County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a bank robbery at 10:53 a.m. Oct. 7 at the America Midwest Bank, 36044 N. Brookside Drive, Gurnee. 

According to a Sheriff's Office press release, a man approached the teller's counter and demanded money. The bank employees complied with the suspect's demands, police said.

"No weapon was used or implied during the robbery," according to the Sheriff's Office.

The man then fled westbound on foot. He is described as being white with average height and build. He was wearing dark clothing with his face and eyes covered.
