Police: No Bomb Found at Gages Lake School Following Threat
The bomb threat occurred at Clarebrook School, located inside Gages Lake School at 18180 W. Gages Lake Road.
The search of a Gages Lake school Thursday morning following a bomb threat returned negative results, police said.
Sgt. Sara Balmes of the Lake County Sheriff's Office said police responded to Clarebrook School, located inside Gages Lake School at 18180 W. Gages Lake Road, on a report of a bomb threat.
"School administration made the decision to evacuate Gages Lake School and place the additional schools on the campus on lockdown," said Balmes. Students were bused to the Special Education District of Lake County, Balmes said.
"As search of the school for the bomb was negative," said Balmes. "The students were bused back to Gages Lake School and the school has resumed normal daily activities."
The incident is still under investigation.
