Grayslake residents are warned of residential and motor vehicle burglaries in certain areas of town.

The has issued an alert for residents to be aware of an increased number of residential and motor vehicle burglaries during the daytime hours. Most of these have taken place in the residential area between Park Avenue and Route 120.

The Police Department encourages residents to report any suspicious activity as it occurs. Residents are also reminded to keep their cars and homes locked at all times for safety.

Anyone with information regarding the recent burglaries or any other crimes is asked to contact the Grayslake Police Department at 847-223-2341.

One way for the Police Department to help recover stolen items and return them to their rightful owner is to have photographs and serial numbers for the stolen items. When you have an opportunity, please photograph expensive items and document serial numbers for future identification purposes.
