Round Lake Beach Couple Arrested on Drug Charges
Police said they found heroin and drug paraphernalia in the couple's home.
A husband and wife from Round Lake Beach were arrested on drug-related charges Oct. 18 after police found three ounces of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,500 in cash in their home.
Linda Armstrong, 37, and Jeffrey Armstrong, 35, of the 1600 block of Melrose Street were charged with possession of intent to deliver a controlled substance (a Class X felony) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (a Class 1 felony), according to Lake County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Sara Balmes.
Through a joint investigation, the Lake County Sheriff's Office Special Investigation Unit and the Round Lake Beach Police Department executed a search warrant at the couple's home, said Balmes.
Bond was set at $750,000 apiece for Linda and Jeffrey, said Balmes. Both are scheduled to appear in court Nov. 7.
