Authorities continue to investigate a crash that killed a 6-year-old Round Lake girl over the weekend, according to local media reports.
Leyzle Arteaga died Saturday night at an area hospital following a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:47 p.m. at Illinois Highway 83 and Millstone Drive in Round Lake Beach, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Arteaga, of the 500 block of Lagoon Terrace, suffered "massive head trauma," according to a CBS Chicago report.
The Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team and police are investigating the crash, according to Chicago Tribune.
