Sentencing Delayed in Round Lake Park Murder Case

A Lake County judge delayed the sentencing for a 29-year-old Kenosha man who was found guilty of murdering 22-year-old Melinda Morrell of Round Lake Park during a robbery at a Check N Go in Waukegan in May 2007, according to the Daily Herald.

Lake County Judge Daniel Shanes said Friday Montego Suggs, 29, of Kenosha, Wis., needs to first stand trial for attempted murder and attempted robbery charges for accusations that he went to a Beach Park grocery store five days after the murder and attempted to shoot the store clerk in the back of the head, according to the article. The gun misfired during that incident, according to the Daily Herald.
