$1.6 Million Settlement Reached for Former Grayslake Police Officer

La Petite Academy has reached a $1.6 million settlement with Dale Strzyz, a former Grayslake community service officer, after the mirror on a bus hit the officer while she was directing traffic outside Prairieview School, 103 E. Route 120 in Hainesville, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The bus was owned by La Petite Academy and  Strzyz's lawyer, Michelle Kohut, said the accident left her client with a fractured eye socket, broken nose, fractured left wrist and "lasting balance and memory issues," which have prevented her from working, according to the article.

The Chicago Tribune has more on this article.
