American Heroes Community Celebration On September 11, 2011

Community event to support and honor American Heroes is backed by Boy Scout Troop 91, the Villages of Grayslake and Hainesville, school districts and community organizations.

The community is invited to an American Heroes Community Celebration on September 11, 2011.

The event is being organized by Cub Scout Pack 91, with support of the Villages of Grayslake and Hainesville, School Districts 46 and 127 and numerous community organizations.

This event will take place on September 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at , 1925 N. Route 83. A formal program
will begin at noon, featuring local leaders and patriotic music.

An American Heroes Celebration is designed to honor men and women who serve in the military, police, fire and public works departments. The event is free and open to the public. Service members are encouraged to wear their uniforms.

Cub Scout Pack 91, together with their community partners, hopes to create a memorable day celebrating our unsung heroes as we observe the 10th anniversary of 9/11, according to a release posted on the Village of Graysake website.
