Candidate Forum In Grayslake Feb. 12

The League of Women Voters of Lake County is sponsoring a Candidate Forum beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Lake County University Center in Grayslake.

The League of Women Voters of Lake County will host a free public forum for candidates in contested races for Coroner, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Recorder of Deeds and State's Attorney. 

The doors will open at 1 p.m., and the forum will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at the .

After brief introductory remarks, candidates will answer questions submitted by the audience. The public is invited to attend.

The following candidates are participating at the approximate times:

1:40 to 2:10 p.m. Clerk of the Circuit Court - Gerald Dietz (R) and Keith Brin (R.)

2:15 to 2:45 p.m.  Recorder of Deeds - Marty Blumenthal (R) and Beb Bednar (R).

2:50 to 3:30 p.m.  Coroner - Thomas Rudd (D), Artis Yancey (D), Steve Newton (R) and Howard Cooper (R).

3:35 to 4:30 p.m.  State's Attorney - Karen Williams (D), Reginald Mathews (D), Chris Kennedy (D), Mike Nerheim (R), Louise Hayes (R) and Bryan Winter (R).
