Group delivers letter decrying having a "deadbeat" dad as a representative of the state.
Members of a newly formed group, the Northern Illinois chapter of Progressive Democrats of America, together with Catholics United held a protest at Congressman's Joe Walsh's office Saturday, July 30 in Fox Lake.

"The two protest groups were brought together by a Facebook message posted by a group member about having state representatives serve as role models for our children," Williams said. "This issue with Congressman Walsh is something that is a common concern for members of both groups."

The group delivered a signed letter explaining their concerns to Walsh's office.
According to Williams, Walsh's staff initially kept the doors locked but opened them once media such as the Daily Herald, WGN, and WABC arrived.
Walsh was not at the office at the time of the protest.
Patch was unable to reach Walsh for a responsel.
