ACLU of Illinois Presents: Voting and Speaking Out: Defending the Targets of Intolerance from Voter Suppression and Attacks on Free Speech
Voting rights are under attack in this country as state legislatures nationwide pass voter suppression laws under the pretext of preventing voter fraud and safeguarding election integrity. These voter suppression laws take many forms, and collectively lead to significant burdens for eligible voters trying to exercise their most fundamental constitutional right.
Join ACLU of Illinois Senior Staff Counsel Adam Schwartz and Director of the League of Women Voters for Lake County Rosemary Heilemannfor a discussion on voter suppression and attacks on free speech.
This event is FREE to the public with RSVP, which can be done at the following link: https://www.aclu.org/secure/voting-and-speaking-out-round-lake-beach
Co-sponsored by the ACLU of Illinois, the League of Women Voters of Lake County and Progressive Democrats of America.
