The park has a new playground, picnic shelter, baggo courts and more following a renovation project.

The below information comes from a Grayslake Park District press release.

Following a renovation project, the Grayslake Community Park District will hold a rededication ceremony at Cullen Park on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 12 p.m., according to a park district news release.

The park now has a a new playground, a picnic shelter, baggo courts, a half basketball court, a drinking fountain, a bike rack and extensive landscaping.
The public is invited to join in on the event.

The renovations at the park, which named after former director of the park district Jacqueline Cullen, were partially funded through a $105,000 grant for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

“The park district is very proud to complete the renovation of the park and we already see increased use of the park by the neighborhood it serves," Executive Director Jeff Nehila said in a news release. “The Cullen family is coming down from Wisconsin that day to join in on the event and we’re so happy they can come.”

The park is located at the corner of Glen and Alta Streets and was originally constructed in 1989.
