Grayslake Library Board To Fill Four Trustee Vacancies

Nominating petitions for the Grayslake Area Public Library Board will be available starting Sept. 17.

The will have four openings for the position of library board trustee on the April 9, 2013, Consolidated Election ballot.

Three positions are for six-year terms. One position is for a four-year term. Candidates must be residents of the library district and file a completed set of nomination papers, including petitions signed by at least 50 qualified voters residing in the library district. The office of library trustee is unpaid.

Nomination packets may be picked up at the business office of the Grayslake Area Public Library, 100 Library Lane between 9:30 a.m. and  p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Sept. 17. Petitions may be circulated from Sept. 25 through Dec. 24. The library and the business office will be closed Nov. 22.

Completed nomination packets must be filed at the business office of the library between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Dec. 17 and ending Dec. 24 unless the ending date is changed by the Illinois Legislature.
