The Grayslake Community Park District was recently awarded a $1,500 cash award from the Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) for maintaining their current Level A – Accreditation Status for 2013.

The Level A accreditation status is the highest award that can be earned through comprehensive safety and loss control review process.

The Grayslake Park District has maintained their accreditation status for the past 14 years.

The loss control review process is a yearlong review of every aspect of Park District operations to ensure that the district has established an implemented a comprehensive safety and loss prevention program. The Grayslake Park District has exceeded the expectations set by PDRMA since 1999.

“Receiving the highest level of accreditation for risk management and safety displays the high level of dedication the district puts forth in doing their best in ensuring the safety of program participants, parks and facilities and within the workforce," said Executive Director Jeff Nehila. “We’re pleased to be within the elite level of risk management.”
