Mayor Rhett Taylor commented, “The Village bike trails map features one of the most comprehensive community trail systems in the region. Links to paths of the Lake County Forest Preserve and the Grayslake Park District help create an outstanding biking and walking experience. The system also connects to the Liberty Prairie Conservatory’s connection to the Des Plaines River Trail, a 40 mile link to the Chicagoland area.”

The new bike trails map features recently added trails such as the Forest Preserve’s new Millennium Trail (near Rollins Road) and the extension of the Millennium Trail north of the Rollins Savannah. Also, the trails map includes a bike path to be constructed this year on the south side of Washington Street from Atkinson Road to Lancer Lane.
