CLC Sponsoring Job Fair

Looking for employment? Come to one of several hiring events sponsored by the College of Lake County, the first being held Thursday at the Lakeshore campus in Waukegan.

Job seekers are invited to attend hiring events in April and May sponsored by the College of Lake County Career and Placement Services office.

The events include mini job fairs on April 11 and 23, the annual Etiquette Dinner on April 18, a Job Seeker Event on May 8 and the JobMarketPlace Job Fair on May 23.

On Thursday, April 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., a mini job fair will be held in conjunction with the CLC Human Resources Office at the Lakeshore Campus, 1 N. Genesee St., Conference Room 008, in Waukegan. A special session by the Human Resources office will provide a guide to the college’s hiring process in Room 309.

Participating employers will include: Chase Professionals, Cole-Parmer, Cosi Inc. CustomUSB, Habitat for Humanity Lake County, InHome Personal Services, Kelly Services, Kelly Scientific Resources, LaCosta Facility Support Services, LTD Commodities LLC, Muller Trading Company Inc., Northern Illinois Electric, Inc., Strategic Sales Optimization, Inc., Sunglass Hut, UMMA Center, United Services, U.S. Army, We Care Senior Caregiver Services and Wurth Baer Supply Company.

Another Career and Placement Services mini job fair will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 23 in Brandel Court, 19351 W. Washington St., in Grayslake. Participating employers include: Accounting Principals & Ajilon Professional, Captain J.A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (VA), Allendale Association, Autism Home Support Services, Clearbrook, College Nannies & Tutors of Glenview, Sears Holding Corp., Event Imaging Solutions, Qualex Inc., Kodak Co., The Huntington Resource, U.S. Army, Volt Workforce Solution and WesTech Engineering, Inc.

Mini job fairs provide employers a chance to recruit for full-time, part-time, internships and seasonal jobs among CLC students, alumni and community residents.

May 2: Resume Review Event, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Southlake Campus Atrium, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills.

May 8: Job Seeker Event with workshops and resume reviews, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., C Wing Conference Center.

May 23: JobMarketPlace Job Fair, 1-5 p.m., P.E. Center. This is Lake County’s largest job fair. Participants can explore full-time, part-time, seasonal and professional job opportunities by meeting with more than 50 employers. Job seekers are advised to bring plenty of resumes and dress to impress.
