D46 Board to Discuss Increasing School Fees

Tonight's meeting agenda also includes a discussion about after-school activities and related student fees.

The Grayslake District 46 Board is set to once again discuss increasing school fees.

The increase of school fees by $10 for grades one through eight in 2013-14, and kindergarten fees by $25 in 2014-15, is among several items on the agenda for tonight's meeting, slated for 6:30 at Grayslake Middle School.

The board previously rejected the idea of raising school fees as a means to help eliminate a $2.2 million deficit.

Tonight's agenda also includes the recognition of board members leaving office, the appointment of a president and secretary pro tem, and the nominations for board president, vice president and secretary.

The new board is expected to discuss the transfer of 1999 bond proceeds from the operations and maintenance fund to the education fund, along with after-school activities and related student fees.
