UPDATE: D46 Reschedules Special Meeting for Monday Night

The special meeting will now be held Monday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at Grayslake Middle School for the school board to discuss the pending teacher strike.

The District 46 School Board has scheduled a special meeting for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17 at the district office at Grayslake Middle School.

The board will go into closed session at the beginning of the meeting. Afterward, there will be discussion of the pending teacher strike under new business, followed by "recommendation of action item in response to teacher strike."

Editor's Note: I attempted to get further details from Supt. Ellen Correll because the action item is vague. Here was her response: "It is vague due to the fact that the board will be discussing in closed session several items. I am not at liberty to disclose them."

I would think they are meeting because one of the board members has been out of the country for a few weeks. They can revote on any issues that they have had for the past month or so like extending Correll's contract.

Educational terrorists. i saw the teachers handing out flyers at my sons band concert. jack asses. i have found very few people that support their extortion.They receive raises every year,how many of the parents can say that?

U N B E L I E V A B L E !!!!!!!!!!! The board calls a special emergency meeting open to the public and afterwards do not share the purpose! People of D46 ... Another fine example of the total disrespect and incompetence of your school board! These people are verrrrrry shady! They care only about their own personal agendas and nothing else!
