District 127 Closing Early Due to Snow

Grayslake high schools are closing early today due to predicted heavy snowfalls, but local elementary districts in Grayslake and Gurnee remain on a regular schedule.

District 127

Due to the heavy snow predicted for Friday, January 20, is implementing an early release schedule, according to their website. They said that they hope an early release will allow everyone the opportunity to travel home in safe conditions.

  • Grayslake Central High School students will be released at the end of 7th period at 1:50 p.m.
  • Grayslake North High School students will be released at the end of 7th period at 2:15 p.m.
  • All after school activities and athletic events have been cancelled.

The District will continue to notify parents and staff of school schedules, including after school activities and events, utilizing the Alert Now system as well posting updated information on the website.

Community Consolidated School District 46 - Grayslake 

At this time, CCSD46 is not closing schools early, but is continuing to monitor today's anticipated snow storm. If any decision is made that will impact dismissal times or after school activities, word will be sent out via the School Reach Emergency Phone Notification System, e-News Email Alerts, Facebook and Twitter status updates.

Woodland District 50 - Gurnee

Woodland District 50 is operating on a regular dismissal schedule today. If any other decision is made, parents will be notified via the emergency phone contact system.
