District 46 Education Foundation Softball Tourney Big Success

First annual Home Run for Education is a grand slam.

The D46 Education Foundation hosted its first annual Home Run for Education softball tournament on Sept. 15 in Central Park.

Eight teams of 10-15 players came together for this exciting and spirited all day event in the beautiful late summer sunshine. Four opening round games took place in the morning, followed by two semi-final match-ups in the early afternoon.

Two teams were left standing for the championship game: Frederick School Teachers vs Hit for Brains. The championship game was great entertainment as a talented Hit for Brains team outlasted a strong team of Frederick School teachers.
