Clearbrook's New Northern Lake County Developmental Training Facility Hosts Open House for Area Families

This Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Clearbrook’s new Developmental Training facility in Gages Lake (adjacent to Gurnee and Grayslake) is hosting a community Open House for local families. Visitors will get an up close look at the Developmental Training facility’s recently renovated space.

Denise Rau, program director at Clearbrook’s Developmental Training North facility, along with management and staff from the facility will lead visitors through tours and mock activity stations.

In May 2011, Clearbrook moved from its North Chicago location to the new facility. With added space, Clearbrook is actively looking to expand enrollment and meet the needs of a greater number of Lake County families seeking programs and services for their adult loved ones with developmental disabilities.

Clearbrook’s Developmental Training program offers an array of weekday services to adults with developmental disabilities. By providing a variety of opportunities, clients are able to expand their interaction with their peers, their community and the world at large within structured settings. An individualized program plan is developed around each client, resulting in services that are a blend of instruction, interventions, activities and experiences. Participants are encouraged and supported in expressing their interests in the planning of services. For more information please visit www.clearbrook.org and click on Programs & Services.
