Consumers Credit Union Hosts Free Seminar: "Home Buying Made Easy"

Member-owned Credit union presents educational program open to the public November 9th

 

Grayslake, IL, October 25, 2011:  As mortgage rates continue at their lowest levels and a half century and homes are increasingly affordable, what better time than now to become a home owner? Home ownership naturally brings a wide range of questions and concerns. That’s why Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is bringing back its popular seminar, “Home Buying Made Easy.” The Member-owned credit union has teamed up with Consumers Cooperative Association, its sponsor, to provide practical answers to questions about home values, financing options, purchasing decisions and more.

“Extremely attractive home prices and declining rates combine to make this an excellent time to purchase a new home,” said Sean M. Rathjen, CCU President.  “Everyone buying a home has many questions, whether they’re first-time home buyers or someone who’s been through the process before.  ‘Home Buying Made Easy’ will provide the answers these folks need to make intelligent purchasing decision, including helpful information on how to determine the value of their prospective new home, how to sort through financing options, tips for handling paperwork and other information to help make home buying the joyous experience it should be.”

Seminar presenters include experts from every aspect of the home buying process, including loan officers and real estate agents.  Gil Chavez and Lucas Frantz from Consumers Credit Union’s Mortgage Department will be on hand to explain the pros and cons of the many financing options available.  Ron and Kat Becker of The Becker Group / Century 21 Roberts and Andrews will provide valuable home purchasing tips and show attendees how they can get priority access to the best deals on foreclosures, short sales and other great deals, all in a hassle-free way. 

 

Whether you’re a first-time buyer or have been through the process before, you’ll learn something new.  Since “Home Buying Made Easy” will benefit everyone looking to purchase a home, the workshop is open to the public at no charge. The seminar is produced in conjunction with Consumers Cooperative Association and Consumers Credit Union.
