Kindergarten Plus parent involvement night

Kindergarten Plus parents and students have been invited to the school for a fun and educational night. The night will begin with pizza, juice, and warm-up table activities for both literacy and math skills. The evening will continue with exciting learning centers led by the Kindergarten Plus Teachers, Allison Coltman and Peggy Raube, and Kindergarten Plus Paraprofessional Barb Simon along with several special area teachers, Literacy Specialist Erin Landmeier, Math Specialist Danielle Mann, Media Center Specialist Kelly Shiffer, Primary School Social Worker Laurie Retzky, and Primary School Principal, Stacey Anderson.

Kindergarten Plus is a general education academic readiness program that extends the students kindergarten program from a half day of school to a whole day of school.

The parents and students will be able to explore and work in six different centers. A literacy center focused on emergent writing skills, a literacy center about rhyming, a math center about number sense, a fine motor center to strengthen fine motor muscle development, a technology center utilizing laptops and web resources, along with an interactive game center.
