Events to Help Baby Battling Leukemia
Parents and Woodland teachers, James and Jennifer Silasiri, have been coping with the life-threatening leukemia diagnosis of their 15-month-old son, Micah.
A young family, members of the extended community family of teachers in the , is going through what most people cannot even imagine. They are battling the aggressive leukemia that is threatening the life of their little boy Micah.
"We know we will not have him much longer," said Micah's dad, James Silasiri, a seventh-grade teacher at . "He was diagnosed at 6 months, has had five rounds of chemotherapy over five months, only to find out the cancer had come back."
Micah's mother, Jennifer Silasiri, is a fifth-grade teacher at Woodland Intermediate School.

"Woodland has done a great job of supporting us through this time. We appreciate everything that everyone is doing," he said.
