Grayslake Central FBLA Students Win Awards At State Conference

Three Future Business Leaders of America members from GCHS placed in the top ten during the recent State Leadership Conference.

Future Business Leaders of America members and their adviser from recently attended the 63rd Illinois Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference.

Over 1,300 members, advisers, and guests from 70 Illinois FBLA chapters were registered for the conference. The two-day state conference included activities in personal development, business and leadership training, election of 2012-2013 state officers, and competitive events. 

During the awards program at the conference held March 30-21 in Decatur, D127 High School FBLA members won the following individual, team, and chapter competitive events:

  • Anuj Kambalyal - 6th place in Client Services
  • Natalie Wickenkamp, Ashley Wehrheim, Kaitlyn Wehrheim - 8th place Business Ethics
  • Raj Patel, Patrick Burba - 9th place in Emerging Business Issues

Other FBLA members in attendance were Ian Jackson, AJ Murphy, Nathan Anderson, Anuj Shah, Heidi Kang, Josh Schneider and Robert Weiss. 

Natalie Wickenkamp and Raj Patel from Grayslake Central High School served as voting delegates at the conference in the election of the 2012-2013 Illinois FBLA State Officers.
