GNHS Band to Host Car Wash

The Grayslake North High School (GNHS) Marching Knights will hold a car wash in the Culver’s parking lot, 1239 N. Rte. 83, Grayslake, on Saturday, June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Culver’s will also donate a portion of its lunch sales between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to the band. Proceeds from Culver’s, as well as donations received during the car wash, will help to purchase items needed for the Marching Knight’s competitive season.

The 2013–2014 Marching Knights will welcome approximately 40 incoming freshmen, and are projected to be 160 members strong at the start of the school year this fall. The band’s outstanding 2012-2013 season resulted in first place Parade and second place Field Show at The Renegade Regiment Music Fest, Sandwich, IL.

You can watch the Knights, along with eight other Illinois high school bands, perform here in your community when they host their third annual Knight’s Marching Tournament, consisting of competitive and exhibition field-show performances, at Grayslake North High School, 1925 N. Rte. 83, on Sunday, Sept. 15. The band  can also be seen and heard at home football games and at a variety of Grayslake community events throughout the year.
