Grayslake Central Soccer Team Takes Steps For The Kids

The Rams soccer team joined in Take a Step for Kids to support child abuse prevention.

The Grayslake Central Girl's soccer team came together this past Saturday for the third year in a row to support Child Abuse Prevention as they participated in the 5k race "Take a Step For Kids."

All the proceeds of the event go to children who have been abused. The event was a great way for the players and coaches to get involved in the community and give back. The race took place at Independence Grove in Libertyville, Illinois. There were over 400 participants that signed up for this year's race.

Not only was the event a great opportunity for the program to support a great cause, a few players and coaches were rewarded with top finishes in their particular age groups.  Times are posted at www.takeastepforkids.org <http://www.takeastepforkids.org/>
