Grayslake North Lacrosse: Day Three of Spring Break

The Grayslake North Lacrosse team will be providing updates throughout the week about their spring break trip to North Carolina.

Waking up feeling the bruises from last night’s game, our lacrosse team trudged down to the breakfast room to partake in our daily meal of eggs, sausage, and assorted bagels and muffins.

Our goalie, Yorkie, may or may not have eaten an entire batch of muffins. After slamming orange juice like it was our jobs, we made our way upstairs to lay low until our morning practice.

Once on the field, we stretched like no one has ever stretched before. While fine-tuning our offense and defense, the sun shone through just enough to give us all the start to our arm-pad tans that will hopefully last until June 2.

After getting Subway from the mini-mall next to our hotel, we had just enough time to eat and watch SportsCenter before we geared up again to work on our sticks at the turf field in the parking lot. After a nice shoot around for a half hour, we showered and set off for our tour of the University of North Carolina.

Once the quick half hour drive was over, we got off the bus and were greeted by an old friend, Kevin Kelleher. We got a behind-the-scenes look at the campus and ended at a restaurant called R&R and got desert from Cold Stone. On the way home we stopped at Walmart to stock up on snacks for the next few days and headed off to our rooms before the night ended at 11 with lights out.
