According to the ISBE, "For school years 2010 and 2011, when a July 1 reporting deadline was in effect, school districts were directed by ISBE to include in their reports payments made through June 30, 2010. As a result, projected July and August payments to individuals paid over 12 months versus 10 should not have been included. For this reason — and because additional compensation can be earned for a variety of extra duties involving the supervision of students or related to the academic program — the annual compensation reported for individuals is not comparable either within or across districts."

ISBE report card data for 2011 in District 46 shows that the average teacher salary was $52,251, versus $64,987 for the state.
