Officials: Schools Open Wednesday in Districts 46, 127

Local students will be headed back to school on Wednesday.

Community Consolidated School District 46 officials announced the news on the district website that school will be in session Jan. 29.

Grayslake District 127 shared this message on the district website: "Schools will be following the Late Start Schedule with Grayslake Central starting at 8:50 a.m. and Grayslake North starting at 9:15 a.m. for students. There will be no zero hour classes. Students will not travel between schools for classes due to the Late Start Day schedule. Staff are to arrive at their regularly scheduled time. All scheduled practices and student activities will continue as scheduled. Buses are operating and students are to be at their bus stop one hour and 20 minutes later than their scheduled pick up time."

Schools were closed Jan. 27 and 28 due to the extreme cold.
