Chicago Bears Football Training Camp for Kids

Young players will have the opportunity to play with and be coached by former NFL stars.

Who better to learn the ins and outs of football than by professional coaches and former Chicago Bears players.

Kids ages six to 14 can get the professional instruction through Chicago Bears Youth Football Camps scheduled for July 16 - 20 in Libertyville.

The non-contact football camp teaches all skill levels from first-time football players, to mid-level and accelerated training.

The camp also focuses on all football playing positions, said Executive Director Tom Finks.

"We have comprehensive insturction at all levels," Finks said. "This is very important for 9, 10 and 11 year old players who don't know what position they may be good at yet."

During the weeklong camp players will have instructional time and play games and contests both as teams and individuals to earn awards and prizes.

This year the camp is also offering the Official NFL Punt, Pass and Kick contest where participants could eventually qualify for the national competition.

Former Bears players including Robin Earl, Alan Elis, Kris Haines and Al Harris among others will coach the event.

"To learn from these professional coaches and the former Bears players is some of the best football instruction some of these kids will ever get," said Finks.
