Five Football Questions With: Matthew Bartman

Which NFL player does Matthew Bartman consider a good role model?

Editor's note: In honor of the start of the Grayslake Central High School football season, I stopped by a recent varsity football practice to interview some players who volunteered. I'll be featuring these profiles over the next several days. Be sure to check out the team's schedule for this season. Go Rams!

----------------

Name: Matthew Bartman

Position: Nose guard

1. What's great about the team this year? The family aspect. No matter what, whether we're on the field or off, everybody's got your back.

2. Who will be your biggest opponent this year? Grayslake North. The feeling that you get the moment you walk on the field (against Grayslake North)—it's so different than any other team.

3. Who's your favorite player in the NFL? Ndamukong Suh. He's always aggressive—just a good role model.

4. What do you love about playing football? Just the fact that you can come out and hit somebody. It gets your aggression out.

5. What are you doing when you're not playing football? Hanging out with friends, doing school work and eating.
