What does Spencer Davis love about playing football?
Editor's note: In honor of the start of the Grayslake North High School football season, I stopped by a recent varsity football practice to interview some players who volunteered. I'll be featuring these profiles over the next several days. Be sure to check out the team's schedule for this season.

Name: Spencer Davis
Position: Linebacker
1. What's great about the team this year? I think the unity we've created over the past couple of months and the passion.
2. Who will be your biggest opponent this year? Lakes. It's the start of the season and it creates the tempo for your season. (NOTE: GNHS beat Lakes in the season opener).
3. What do you love about playing football? I was raised on football. I've played since kindergarten. On Fridays, I love lining up and getting ready to go on the field and hearing the cheers.
4. Who is your favorite player in the NFL? Adrian Peterson. He had a knee injury last year and came back this year and was MVP. He just showed great determination.
5. What do you do when you're not playing football? Spent time with friends and I play lacrosse.
