GNHS Athletic Boosters Win Contest, Receive $3,000 From Buffalo Wild Wings

The contest took place in early 2013.

On a cold January night, the Grayslake North High School Athletic Booster Club started on a quest to be named the champion of the Buffalo Wild Wings Spirit Challenge.

Grayslake North competed with seven other local schools in a competition to bring in the most money in food sales on specific spirit nights. In order to move on in the competition, they needed to finish in one of the top spots.

GNHS managed to do that on their nights in January and February. As a result, the Boosters found themselves in the final round, competing head-to-head with Grant High School. Grayslake North sponsored their final night on March 18, and, with their best effort in the competition, they surpassed their earlier nights in the competition.

Several weeks later, the GNHS Athletic Booster Club was notified that they had won the competition. On Monday, August 12, Buffalo Wild Wings presented the Booster Club with a check for $3,000 in front of a packed crowd attending Fall Sports Night.

They will be looking to defend their Spirit Night Championship when the date for the next competition is announced. Thanks to all the GNHS wing-eating supporters that helped us by dining out at Buffalo Wild Wings. Special thanks goes to our local Buffalo Wild Wings in Round Lake Beach for sponsoring the competition.
