Grayslake Central Places Fourth in State Baseball

Congrats to the Grayslake Central baseball team!

The Grayslake Central baseball team placed fourth at state after losing to Metamora 10-1 on Saturday, according to the IHSA website. 

The Class 3A game for third place was held at Silver Cross Field in Joliet.

Last year, Grayslake Central placed third at state, according to the Lake County News Sun. The team also placed third in 2009.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Grayslake Central's baseball team is headed to the state semi-finals. 

The team beat Fenwick 2-1 Monday at North Central College in Naperville to earn the trip to the Class 3A state semi-finals, according to the Illinois High School Association website. 

This is the third time in five years— and the second year in a row — the Rams will be headed to the Final Four State tournament in Joliet, according to the Lake County News-Sun. 

Grayslake will next play Springfield's Sacred Heart-Griffin on Friday at noon at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, according to the IHSA website. The "powerhouse" team has a 37-3 record, according to the Lake County News-Sun.
