Grayslake Colts Teams Headed to Super Bowl

Two Grayslake Colts youth football teams will play in the TCYFL championship games on Sunday.

The Grayslake Colts are championship bound.

The Colts Big 10 Heavyweight and the Big 10 Bantam youth football teams will play in Sunday's Chicagoland Youth Football League Super Bowl games.

After winning their division (8-1) and two play-off games, the Big 10 Heavyweight will face off against the Mundelein Stallions at 4 p.m. Sunday at Barrington High School, 616 Main Street, Barrington.

The Big 10 Heavyweight team is lead by Head Coach Ed Pietschmann and Assistant Coaches Jeff West and Greg Milner.

The Big 10 Bantam will play Carmel High School at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, at Carmel Catholic High School, 1 Carmel Parkway, Mundelein.

The teams are members of The Chicagoland Youth Football League (TCYFL), the largest independent youth tackle football league in the United States. It fields thousands of players on hundreds of teams from 33 member communities based throughout Chicagoland. 

Varsity Poms, 7th Grade Varsity Cheer, 8th Grade Varsity Cheer and Pee Wee Cheer will compete in the state competition Nov. 30-Dec. 2 at the Sears Center.
