Grayslake North, Central Compete in State Cheerleading Finals

Grayslake North finished in seventh place and Grayslake Central finished in eighth place at the state cheerleading finals Saturday   at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

Both Grayslake North and Central cheerleading teams will compete Saturday in the state finals at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. 

Competing in the middle division, Grayslake North advanced to the final after finishing in sixth place during prelims on Friday, according to the Illinois High School Association website. Grayslake Central finished not far behind in eight place also earning a trip to Saturday's finals. 

Grayslake North will compete at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday and Grayslake Central will compete at 12:05 a.m. Saturday. The competitions are slated to continue through 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to the IHSA.
