Grayslake North Lacrosse Advances in State Playoffs

What was the score of the Grayslake North vs. Highland Park game? Read on.

The No. 5 seeded Grayslake North Knights made quick work of the Giants from Highland Park by a score of 18-2. A running clock was started with four minutes to go in the first half as North jumped out to a 14-1 lead.

The Knights were led on offense by 2nd Team All State Midfielder, Brendan Walker with 4 goals and 1 assist. With 10 different goal scorers, a balance attack proved to be too much for Highland Park. Other scorers were David Collins (3 goals and 2 assists), AJ Fish (3 Goals), Freddie Williams (2 goals), while Tyler Lyon, Jack Donnellan, Farhan Khan, Jack Mattea, Spencer Davis, and Ben Smith each found the back of the net for the Knights as well.

The defense was steady all night with Eric York leading the way in goal. Shane Peach, Kevin Carter and Ian Pearce were tough as always.
