Knights Lacrosse Team Shuts Down Deerfield 11-2

Seven Knights stepped up and scored during a lacrosse match in Deerfield.

The Grayslake North Knights lacrosse team beat the host Warriors from Deerfield by a score of 11-2. The game was called with 6:49 to go in the final quarter due to lightning.

The defense for the Knights was led by Eric York in goal and was aided by long stick defenseman, Bryce Hermsen, Shane Pech, Josh Kortenkamp, Kevin Carter and Ian Pearce, said Coach Brad Fish. 

There were seven different Knights who found the back of the net with Brendan Walker leading the way with 3 goals. Matt Schlagetter had 2 goals and dished out 4 assists. Jack Mattea added 2 as well.

Next up for the Knights in their regular season finale will be Grayslake Central on Friday night.
