The Crosstown Rivalry heated up on the baseball fields as Grayslake Central High School battled Grayslake North this weekend, splitting the varsity games.

Grayslake Central and Grayslake North high schools battled on the baseball diamonds Friday and Saturday at all levels. It was two days worth of fun for kids who, for the most part, have been playing baseball together as part of Grayslake Youth Baseball programs.

The Grayslake North Varsity team surprised Grayslake Central Friday night upsetting the first place Rams with a 9-5 win. But the Rams got their revenge Saturday with a 12-7 win over the Knights.

With the win, the Fox Valley Fox Division leading Rams' record improved to 23-7 and 16-2 in league play. The young Knights are trying to improve to a .500 winning percentage and after the weekend. They are at a 14-15 overall record and 8-9 in league play.
