The Village of Grayslake is accepting applications for season positions at the Grayslake Aquatic Center including lifeguard, swim instructors and concessions. The village is also looking to fill the general manager's position at the pool.
The Grayslake Aquatic Center is now accepting applications for seasonal employees for the Summer 2013 season. Open positions include admissions, concessions, lifeguards, swim instructors, and maintenance. Applicants must be at least 15 years of age.
For consideration, please submit applications by Friday, Feb. 22 to the Village of Grayslake at 10 S. Seymour Ave.
Applicants who wish to apply for multiple positions are encouraged to list desired positions on their application in order of interest.

General Manager (Grayslake Aquatic Center)
The Village of Grayslake is seeking qualified candidates for the seasonal position of General Manager at the Esper A. Petersen Foundation Family Aquatic Center.

This is a supervisory position responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Aquatic Center. The successful candidate will supervise all part-time seasonal staff to ensure operational objectives and customer service standards are met; implement the facility’s comprehensive risk management plan, including administering all lifeguard training, in-service, and in-house audits; and assist with other general administrative responsibilities such as data collection, reporting and human resources.
Minimum of three years experience as a certified lifeguard preferred; previous lifeguard instructor and/or supervisor experience desired. Must hold current lifeguard instructor certification or be able to obtain within 45 days of hire. Must be available for the majority of the summer (May-August) and be willing to work unusual hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. This is a seasonal position.
