London Trip Ends With More Track Events, Sightseeing

The Hetzel family's trip to the London Olympics has come to a close.

Editor's note: We at Patch would like to once again thank the Hetzel family of Libertyville for graciously sharing their blog posts and photos from their trip to London. Their photos of the Olympics were top-notch, giving the rest of us a chance to share in the family's experiences. Thank you, Charles, Sarah, Wills and Cecily!

Here is Charles Hetzel's final blog post from London:

"Goodbye London … Thank you for a lifetime of memories

We are about two days behind on blogs. Sorry about that but we have been full speed with our last events some nice lunches and late dinners. We spent the afternoon sightseeing at Big Ben and the Tower of London followed by a Thames River cruise to see the Olympic Rings at the Tower Bridge. Wonderful lunch at The Capital after our last event tickets at Olympic Stadium. Our evening was capped off at the hottest restaurant in London called 'DINNER' by Heston Blumenthal. Back to hotel by 130 am."

Take a look at some of the previous posts and photo galleries:

It was our pleasure. At the very least, we hope we inspire others and other familys to consider attending a future Olympics. It's an amazing display of youthful exuberance!
