Park District has Immediate Job Openings for Teens

The Grayslake Park District was awarded a grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for the Illinois Youth Recreation Corps program, which employs teens for park maintenance and conservation efforts.

Tired of just hanging out, begging the 'rents for spending money? Here's an opportunity from the Grayslake Park District, which seeks teens ages 17 to 19 to work for the Illinois Youth Recreation Corps mid-July through August for $9 an hour.

The scope of work includes removal of invasive plants, pond management and other related maintenance functions. Typical working hours are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Interested teens who can meet the timeframe requirements should submit an application to the Grayslake Community Park at 240 Commerce Drive, as soon as possible.
