Woof-toberfest Pet Fundraiser Returns Oct. 26 and Oct. 27

Information submitted by event organizers.

As the leaves start changing colors and our community gathers to celebrate the new season, local photographer Sue Kamman is teaming up with Grayslake North High School students to mobilize her time, talent, and passion for a good cause.

Kamman will host pet photo sessions at the Capture the Moment Photography studio in the second annual Woof-toberfest, an event where proceeds will directly benefit Save-a-Pet and other pet rescue organizations. Sessions are by appointment and last approximately 20 minutes including both indoor and outdoor shots for customers to choose from. Additional prints and products can be ordered at special pricing with up to 40% of all proceeds also going to the shelter. Last year, over 16 dogs and cats smiled for the camera for this special event, a press release stated.

“It’s a fun opportunity to celebrate our most loyal companions in a special way, while also making a donation to a great cause,” stated Grayslake North senior Kaitee Dorko, who is helping to organize the event.

All local pet owners are invited to make an appointment on Saturday, Oct. 26 or Sunday, Oct. 27. For a $20 donation and a large case of Pedigree dog food, pet owners will receive a complimentary 5x7 portrait of their furry friends and a customized doggy bag.

Proceeds and dog food donations will directly benefit Save-a-Pet and other area pet rescue organizations.  Save-a-Pet, along with every successful adoption, represents an opportunity to save an additional life.
